9x12 (framed 13x16), Oil, 500

Sold 10/10 at the Marigold Gallery on Canyon Road. Palette Knife only (no brush). The intent is to capture the patterns and colors of the Aspens on our Sangre de Cristo Mountain range. I think that the patterns allow the viewer's eye to move around the painting. And the theme IS the full scope of the colors everywhere.. One issue might be that the texture of the sky is quite different from the rest of the painting. But this perhaps pushes the hills in front of the sky - or vice versa, pushes the sky back from the hills.
