15x25, Oil

We had 15x25 inch panels and felt that they were close enough in proportion to a golden mean (1.66.. rather than 1.618…) that we could attempt to make a larger version of Turbulent Lands I in the studio months later. After drawing the grid on the panel we continued by following the diagonals and horizontal and vertical lines with paint as much as possible. New techniques were used that merit a post on the blog. Look for one. Tools used were squeegees and other straight edge tools, trying to let the magic of the colors blend in in a fractal way. This technique might be called ‘fractured’. The Land Abstract Paintings in the booklet illustrate this technique also.
